Angie Landers

Bio

Angie began singing at age 3, after watching the movie 'Annie' with her parents.  She believed that all red heads were supposed to be able to sing, and that is exactly what she planned to do. It was at age 5 that Angie and her parents found out that Angie had a severe hearing loss.  She wore hearing aids until she was 14 years old.  At that time, it was safe to do surgery on both ears to remove the stapes and replace them with a teflon wire.  When asking the doctors if this would change anything in Angie's singing ability, the doctor's told Angie's parents that she should have never be able to carry a tune at all.  She was very lucky as it was to be able to even speak clearly.  Angie's parents gave a cd to the doctors and after listening to it they were amazed.  They said that was a true miracle!

Angie began singing in the church and local talent shows.  She moved to Colorado at age 13.  She became involved in many different productions around the Denver area, such as Kidskits, Rockout To The Future, and Elitch Garden.  She was in several musical productions, such as Jesus Christ Superstar where she played Mary Magdalene and Man of LaMancha where she played Aldonza.

Angie has made several television appearances over the years.  Her first one was for The Tom Slick Show in Denver.  She then appeared on a local Christian television show.  Since then, she has been in commercials for the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, and her most recent was for UPN 21's Gimme The Mike North Texas.

Angie says she will always continue to sing.  She says that the thing that makes her happiest is when she can touch someone through her music.  She believes that God as blessed her with this gift and He has a purpose for everything.
